This is one of Aeromar's 44-seat ATR-42's on the ramp at the Manzanillo airport. Aeromar flies to San Antonio and Houston in the U.S. They used to fly to Huatulco and Manzanillo but cut those destinations from their list after a mechanic taxied one of these into another one, reducing the size of their fleet. I found the aircraft to be comfortable, one even had all leather upholstery and more legroom than typical tourist class. The 2 seats on each side of the aisle arrangement means you are never too far from the window, aisle, or restroom, but the seats don't recline. A light meal was served, sandwiches one time and pastries stuffed with mole another. Flight time from San Antonio to Manzanillo (with a brief stop in Guadalahara) was a bit long, 4 hours total. My spring break trip saw the aircraft almost full but on my last flight in July 1998, there were only 4 passengers.
