Villa "El moñar Rangeliano" Alejandro Rangel Hidalgo is an artist that inherited, not only to Comala, but to the entire state of Colima, the material expressions off his different talents: drawings, paintings, graphic designs, stage designer, artisan and architect inspirer. In Casa Alvarada we want to present a tribute to this great personality. The decoration of the Villa is furnished on the Rangel style and ambiented with reproductions of his paintings. This section of the house was originally planned to be used when any of the family members needed a get away from the rest of the house, (in Spanish there is an expression that describes this as "somebody is tieing his ribbon"). Room "El Murmullo Rulfiano" For those lovers of the Mexican novel Pedro Páramo, this room is inspired in the ambience of the imaginary Comala, where the earth turn white, and got lighted at night, a place populated only by memories. El murmullo is decorated with handcrafted furniture of Don Marcos Pérez Máximo, who does his pieces using natural fibers and vegetable glue known as "Pegadura de elote". This furniture along with pictures of the Comala traditions taken by the local photographer José Coria Barajas, helps to recreate the mythical atmosphere of the Pedro Páramo novel that at one point of it creation change momentary to the name of Los Murmullos (The whispers).
