The wife and I went to Barra for our first time for 2 nights, January 2001. We stayed at the Cabo Blanco hotel. We usually don't go all-inclusive but decided to do so this time until we get our feet a little wet. The food, drink and room was first rate. We went shopping and walked both town of Barra and Melaque and felt perfectly safe in both locations. The travel board describing these towns were very accurate and helped us out a lot. I would highly recommend anyone to take a sub trip of an entire vacation there. The people are fun, honest and Barra is a neat little town. My comments have to stay simple because we only stayed for 2 nights. We are looking forward to going back to Barra in the very near future. Thanks for the help before we went there Tom.
