As you step through the gate of Casa Linda, the best view on Mexico's south coast will astound you. Straight ahead is the vast Pacific; to your left the picturesque bay, and beyond that is the world famous Zicatela Beach. The sound of surf breaking on the base of the cliff 30 meters below rises to your ears.

Your palapa living/dining area faces the ocean and overlooks the swimming pool. Adjacent is the large kitchen, pantry, and laundry area. From the king size bed in the master suite you look over the ocean and watch soaring birds. The guest bedroom, with its two double beds, overlooks the pool and lush tropical garden. The third bedroom on the second floor has an astounding view of the ocean, the city beach, Zicatela and the mountains to the east. Each bedroom has an adjoining full bath.

The upper palapa, with hammock, and dining area is a wonderful place to cool off in the consistent land and sea breezes. No matter how hot it is elsewhere, it is always comfortable here. It's a terrific space for conversation, watching the sunset, and thrilling to occasional whales or dolphins. You can also look to the north, over the town, to the hills beyond.

The house is on a quiet dead end street, next door to the lighthouse on the highest point on Puerto's coast. Casa Linda is a 5 to 10 minute walk to several spectacular swimming beaches, the "Adoquin" or main shopping/restaurant area, and El Centro. The Puerto Escondido airport is a 5-minute drive. Buses and cabs are a minute away.

Casa Linda comes fully equipped (washing machine, screens, fans, microwave, coffee maker, range, refrigerator, toaster, blender, pots and pans, small television, CD player, towels,etc.). Pool and garden are tended regularly; maid service is twice a week, and our bilingual and highly competent manager is always available.

Low season (May - October): US$1,200 per week, US$2,800 per month, US$200 per day
High Season (November - April*): US$1,800 per week, US$4,000 per month, US$250 per day

*Casa Linda is not available for rent between December 1st 2008 and February 15th, 2009

Terms and policies:

A 50% down payment holds your reservation.
The balance is due two weeks before arrival.
Cancellations more than 60 days before booking will result in a full refund.
Cancellations between 30 to 60 days before booking will result in a refund of 50% of the down payment.
Cancellations within 30 days of reservation will forfeit the down payment.
