La Luz Azul is located 2 blocks south of the southeast corner of the zócalo at the corner of Bugambilia and Colorín in La Crucecita. See map. The hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 11:00pm. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. The meals are mostly light, including baguettes, oven-broiled pita combinations, spaghettis and salads, fajitas, and some meat, fish, and chicken from the grill. All meals are very affordable, ranging from $20 to $80 pesos. Beverages include soft drinks, cocktails, wine and beer, as well as cappuchinos and other coffee specialties. See menu page 1, 2, 3.
Owner, Rafael Ortega, is an artist who produces paintings, drawings, sculpture, and murals. You will see some of his works in the cafe. Mr. Ortega's art gallery and workshop is only a block away at Chacah #306, which is one block south of the southeast corner of the zócalo. See map.
