One-Week Workshops

For one enchanted week on the Oaxacan coast we will explore many of the various possibilities available to the modern watercolorist. This underrated medium provides unique challenges to the beginner and expert alike. Its quick drying, vibrant colors are perfectly suited for capturing a tropical climate.

All materials will be provided and are yours to keep. Each Student will receive his/her own block of high quality watercolor paper, a palette of watercolors, brushes, pencils, erasers, and more! Create memories while having fun! This is a complete program for artistic development. Each day we begin with a guided visualization, which is integrated with the tours and the exersizes to maximize impact.

You will arrive on Sunday at the Huatulco airport (HUX). We will meet you there and bring you to Un Sueño (www.unsueno.com), lovely cabañas on the Pacific, San Agustinillo, Oaxaca. After you get settled into your cabaña I will give a brief orientation presentation, hand out your complementary materials, and give you a map directing you to our local restaurants. We will recommence Monday and continue through Friday. We will meet each morning after breakfast on the beautiful compound of Un Sueño. We will work on several projects a day and when not painting we will explore some of the wonders of this beautiful region. You will be entering a stress-free zone; let us set your creativity free! After a thrilling week of both inner and outer exploration, we will return you to the Huatulco airport Saturday. There is also the option of staying longer at your own discretion, let us know well ahead of time as reservations can be somewhat difficult to obtain.

We will make all arrangements for your stay here, including hotel accomodations and arranging regional tours. The area offers eco-tours, snorkeling, surfing, boating, sport fishing, a Turtle Museum, and a Wildlife reserve dedicated to preserving the indigenous crocodiles.

Deluxe Package #1: US$918 / 9,640 pesos
- includes hotel stay for six nights at the charming beach cabañas Un Sueño, all workshop materials, transportation to and from the airport, five distict tours and guiding and teaching fees. Meals are not included and will be at your discretion. (But don’t worry our on-site staff will help you find anything you need!)

Standard Package #2: US$537 / 5,640 pesos
- This is an option for the more adventurous; it doesn’t include accommodations or airport transportation. (includes all tours)

Economy Package #3: US$348 / 3,650 pesos
- This is a discount option, offered with the local participant in mind. It only includes workshop instruction and materials. (includes visualizations)
