To get to the market from the pier, go west on the main road for a block or two. At a side street on the right you will see a guard posted in front of a military building. The market is just a few steps down this street on the right. They have a nice selection of produce, very inexpensive. There are also some eating stalls where you can get a home cooked meal, inexpensive and quite good, but unfortunately the flies can be a problem.
